The central section of this panel is completely lost (replaced in part using 15th century silver-stained fragments, and
in part with what appears to be the lower half of a figure seated in majesty) making firm identification all but impossible.
Given the context, a scene of worshipers at Andrew's shrine would not be inappropriate. On the left a man with a purple robe
(Constantius II?) sits on a bench. On the right one man kneels to present a large fish (an appropriate offering to the Apostle
who had himself been a fisherman before accepting his new vocation as a 'fisher of men') while another man standing behind
him raises a hand to point at the object of their attentions and turns his head as if bearing witness.
