Panel 13 - A lioness licking life into its cub

Description:
According to medieval bestiaries, the lioness gives birth to still-born cubs, which are brought to life three days later by her breath. This (re)birth after three days made the scene a useful symbol for the resurrection of Christ as well as invoking the "Lion of Judah".

Restoration notes: Restorer's painted label "F39" partly visible behind glazing bar top right. Obvious replacement piece upper centre (between the trees) is more transparent than the original glass, clearly revealing the protective chicken-wire outside the window.
