Panel 17 - The funeral of St Martin (left panel)

Description:
Two priests carrying books read the office of the dead over the body of the deceased saint, who lies on a bier, surrounded by candles. This is the left hand part of a two panel composition - the right hand side (panel 18) shows St Ambrose's miraculous appearance at the funeral.

Restoration notes:
The lighter, transparent piece of blue glass, between the two priests is clearly a recent replacement. I'm also a little suspicious of the area top right, with the irregular-shaped leading, which may have been an earlier repair.
