Description:
The central and right-hand panel are part of a single composition and
show Christ, followed by male and female figures approaching from the
right. These panels are both clearly 19th century . The left hand panel,
which is original, shows Christ with a male figure whom Clement &
Guitard mistakenly identified as Mary Magdalen (the illustrations they
worked from presumably omitted this figure's beard!) What is going on
here is far from clear.
