Description:
The Golden Legend tells how the night before they are due to be executed,
the three wrongfully accused princes (seen manacled and morose in the
right-hand panel) pray to St Nicholas for salvation. That night, both
the prefect and the Emperor experience visions of Saint Nicholas demanding
that their release. The men are duly freed.
