This panel is split into two halves - the left forms a single scene with panel 19 while the right is part of panel 20. The three panels taken together form a masterpiece of visual narrative which summarises the relationship between Paul (the forceful and charismatic new convert) and Barnabas (the more established but less exciting Apostle).
The right half of this panel shows Paul standing and preaching in the same forceful pose as before but now facing towards the crowd of followers in panel 21. Barnabas sits beside him, legs crossed and arms folded, looking thoroughly fed-up!
