Panel 19 - The crook, sleeping by the roadside, is run over by a cart
Description:
In the third scene from the story (continued from panel 17), the crook
falls asleep by the roadside but is run over by a passing cart, which
kills him and breaks open his staff, revealing the stolen money within.
The Jew he robbed is brought to witness the scene and declares that if
St Nicholas, who has punished the thief, also has the power to revive
him, then he will be convinced of the saint's power and will happily embrace
