On the left is a seated figure wearing a skull-cap and holding some kind of rod. Standing before him is another man whose hand gestures suggest he is explaining something. Why the glass of this panel is in such poor condition is not clear - it may have been the result of imperfect initial firing when the glass was first painted (leading to the poorly vitirifed paint flaking off) or it could have been the victim of overzealous cleaning.
