Following the failed rebellion of Korah and the other priests against the authority of Moses, God unleashes a plague
on the congregation. Moses instructs Aaron to light his censer and hurry to make atonement for the rebels to lessen God's wrath.
Something of the urgency in the words of Num 16:46-47 is conveyed by Moses' twisting posture as he hands his brother the
censer and points him towards the action.
