A personification of the Church (Ecclesia) collects the Eucharistic blood from Christ's side. To the right is a far rarer piece of iconography; the angel who chased Adam and Eve from Paradise with his burning sword (see panel 12) now sheathes his weapon to show that Christ's sacrifice has redeemed their sin.
