The 16th century St John's Church at the south-eastern end of Skarnu iela. Opposite the church stands a statue of the 'Musicians of Bremmen' just like the one in the old-town district of Bremmen - a reflection of the fact that like Tallinn, Riga was part of the Hanseatic league.
