The great arcaded cloth-hall at the centre of Krakow's old town square (Rynek Glowny) is a masterpiece of high-renaissance architecture. It was built in the 16th century and now houses numerous tourist-oriented craft shops (downstairs) and a branch of the Polish National Museum (upstairs) covering mainly 19th century Polish art.
