The Szabadsag bridge links Szent Gellert ter (and the Gellert Hotel) on the west of the Danube to Vanhaz korut and the Vaci utsa shopping district on the east. This picture is dear to my heat as it was on this very bridge, whilst packed into a busy number 19 tram during the morning rush-hour, that some bastard of a pickpocket stole my wallet, thereby drawing to a premature end my planned trip from Helsinki to Athens.
