St Thomas' now houses a museum containing assorted items of wonderfully kitsch Catholic wood carving, mostly taken from the abandoned churches around the island. My favourite piece was a life-size carving of Christ in the Sepulchre which still doubles as a donations box - the banknotes being inserted through the stigmata in his left hand.
