Pretty much anything can be bought in the Sadar bazaar but the area around the clocktower specialises in spices. The relatively large numbers of package tourists visiting Jodhpur mean that local traders are well used to selling convenient sized (ie small) packets of spices at a massively inflated price to souvenir hunters. A strange choice of present really given that so few of the spices sold here were grown in India.
