Bikaner is a lovely, sleepy little town in the north of the desert where not a lot seems to happen and very little changes. When I went back there in January 1999, nothing seemed any different from my trip in '91 - even the graffitti looked the same. Bikaner Fort is one of the only major sites in the town and is surprisingly large, though access to the interior is by guided tour only.
