A closer view of the convent. St Tekla's grotto is in the building with large semi-circular arches, just left of the chapel. Water drips from the ceiling of the grotto most of the time and is said to be a cure for flatulence - though if true this probably owes more to the mineral content accumulated by the water trickling through the rocks than to any kind of divine intervention.
