Just behind the convent is a narrow gorge which winds its way up to the top of the valley. The crack in the rock is only a few metres across and about 30 metres deep. Because of the contrast range in the original transparancy, I couldn't get much detail in this scan, but on the ledge underneath the overhanging cliff on the other side of the gorge are a series of tightly packed rock-cut tombs.
