6th  Century  Cathedral
Although there isn't much of this early Byzantine cathedral left, it is of enormous importance in the history of christian architecture since it is one of the earliest known examples of a church built as a square room with a dome over it - a style which subsequently became the standard for churches in Constantinople and Jerusalem (the Dome of the Rock).
