Another view towards the northwestern corner. The vast number of discarded column drum sections give an indication of how extensive the colonnading within the temenos would have been. Note also the section of wall to the right of this shot - when the occupying Mameluke forces fortified the site they made extensive use of the drum sections, though here their use was far more functional than the rather decorative use in the citadel at Bosra.
