Beautifully carved capital made of local stone - lying upside down near the Centralised Church. The friable, crystaline nature of the rock would have made carving very difficult. Nevertheless there is no shortage of fabulous pieces like this - proof of how important and wealthy the monastery must have been in the 6th century..
