NEPAL ::: PATAN |

|
Just like Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, Patan has its Durbar (palace) Square which is the main focus of the town and provides a useful starting point for all exploration. Several of Patan's finest temples are in a straight line down the left hand side of Durbar Square, facing the palace. In the view, the octagonal grey-stone structure on the left is a Krishna temple, the Chyasim Deval while to the right is the royal palace - built mainly in the 17th and 18th centuries by the Malla kings.
