Like Patan and Bhaktapur, Kathmandu has its great bell for driving away demons. This one is the newest of the three being only 200 years old and is only rung during festivals at the nearby Degutaleju Temple. To the right of the bell is a small and obscure Vishnu temple which was recently rebuilt after its near-total destruction in the 1934 earthquake.
